Trip Itinerary

A typical weekend trip has an itinerary as follows:

Departure Day

4:15 – 4:30 p.m.

Bus, staffed by chaperones, departs from shopping center near school. Deposits are collected. (Time and location will be announced on confirmation link email before trip.)

7:00 p.m.

Dinner stop. 

10:30 p.m.

New drivers board bus in New York state.

First Day

6:30 – 7:30 a.m.

Bus arrives at MT. St. Anne resort; orientation; students change to ski and snowboard clothing and receive lift tickets and rental vouchers. Remember to pack your ski apparel in an easy to access area of your luggage.

8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Students free to ski, snowboard and visit shops and restaurants in the village.

3:45 p.m.

Depart for Stoneham. On arrival, students check into rooms with assistance from chaperones, students inspect their room and complete a form identifying any existing room damage.

6:30 – 11:30 p.m.

Depart for Quebec City by bus to Winter Carnaval. Dinner (Not Included) / evening activities .

11:30 p.m.

Mandatory in-person student check-in with chaperones.

Second Day

8:15-8:45 a.m.

Mandatory Check-in with Staff

8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

 

Breakfast (Included at Resort) Students free to ski, snowboard and visit the village.

 

6:30-11:30 p.m.

Depart for Quebec City Dinner (Not Included) / evening activities in incredible village of Old Québec

11:30 p.m

Mandatory in-person student check-in with chaperones.

Third Day

11:00 a.m.

Check-out . Students clean rooms -Skiing / Snowboarding Stoneham Mountain.

8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Breakfast (Included at Resort) Ski and Snowboard Stoneham then board buses at 2:15 PM for return trip home. Bus stops for dinner, breaks and for new drivers to board in New York state.

Fourth Day

5:00 – 6:00 a.m.

Students arrive home.

Equipment rental

SKI TRAVEL recommends renting equipment on location to ensure that you will have the chance to fix any equipment problems in the most economical way. If you rented back home, you may have to pay for new equipment when you arrive. You can reserve equipment beforehand through Ski Travel.

Student Pickup on Departure Date

Students are to be picked up at  bus/ staff location, usually a shopping center, near the high school through which they signed up for the trip. A few days prior to the trip, you will be notified by mail with the time and location.

LUGGAGE LIMIT: Please remember to limit your luggage to one large bag, one small carry-on bag and ski equipment or snowboard.

Students may take food and drink with them on the bus. We also recommend a pillow and a blanket to make the ride more comfortable. The bus makes several stops along the way, including a stop for dinner, breaks and a stop for new drivers to board in New York state.

Return Time and Location

Students are dropped off at the same location where the bus departed from several days earlier.  Generally, the time of return is early in the morning, around 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. Weather conditions and mechanical problems can affect the scheduled time. You can visit the website after 8 p.m. on the night before the day of our return and during the night for updated information on arrival times. Updates are given only if necessary. If there’s no change from the original time, there will be no news.

Visit the confirmation page after 8 p.m. on the night prior to return.

Bus departs for Chateau Frontenac

 

5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Dinner / evening activities (Not Included)  in / around the hotel in incredible village of Old Québec

Third Day

8:00 a.m. 

Check-out . Students clean rooms -Load bus for departure to Stoneham Mountain.

8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Breakfast (Included at Resort) Ski and Snowboard Stoneham then board buses at 2:00PM for return trip home. Bus stops for dinner, breaks and for new drivers to board in New York state.
