The Best Ski Resort in the East: Mont Tremblant

Students on our trips enjoy skiing and snowboarding with their friends at the magnificent winter resort at Mont Tremblant. Located in Canada’s beautiful province of Quebec, it’s only two hours from the New York State border and spans 600 acres. We’ve chosen Tremblant because it offers the best ski and snowboard conditions in the east at affordable Canadian prices. It’s the top resort and SKI TRAVEL is Tremblant’s number one winter tour operator.

Centrally located in Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains, Tremblant offers incredible natural beauty and features a beautiful European-style village that offers a range of fun and wholesome activities for guests. The resort itself is surrounded by national forest and therefore set apart from any nearby communities. The village-based resort allows no cars in the pedestrian-only village center and lets guests enjoy the local amenities on foot. The entire village is less than 100 yards in length, allowing plenty of variety, but an intimate and safe environment for young people to explore.

Healthy, wholesome activities abound. In addition to shopping and dining out, SKI TRAVEL guests enjoy evening activities such as ski and snowboard contests, broomball ice hockey, snow volleyball and even an indoor waterpark. Mont Tremblant offers first run movies in its theater and world class dining, as well as affordable places to grab a quick bit to eat. There’s something for everyone.

Since 1999, Tremblant has been voted the Best Ski Resort in eastern North America by readers of Ski Magazine. Tremblant was rated Number One in lodging, dining, service and on mountain food and Number Two in off-hill activities. Additionally, Tremblant was rated in the Top Ten in lifts, grooming and value.

An Intense Ski or Snowboard Experience

On our trips students learn and improve their skiing/snow boarding abilities and gain a skill or hobby that lasts a lifetime. After a day of the best skiing, travelers can enjoy the amenities of Tremblant’s pedestrian village and relax in four star accommodations. Then they can do it all again the next day! This trip is one of the few chances student will have to try the variety of slopes available at Tremblant and to spend extended time perfecting their technique in superior conditions.

Mont Tremblant itself has a 2,100-foot vertical drop and 60 runs and is the highest peak in the Laurentian Mountain range. There are 94 trials -- one in six of which is for novices, one in three intermediate and one in two advanced -- and 13 lifts including six high-speed lifts. The annual snowfall is over 12 feet.
